God is beside everyone including those who believe in him or not.He is in our faith which makes him present in temples or in and around us. One shouldnt be god fearing b'coz hes not there to punish us b'coz he has already made the system of karma to give fruits to our deeds. However he is like a friend whom u will always find beside u in joy n sorrow.
